The CUBO range is our in-house collection of closed-combustion fireplaces, available in three standard sizes: 700 mm, 900 mm, and 1200 mm.
Manufactured locally in South Africa, the CUBO range is built using premium-quality materials and components comparable to leading European fireplace brands.
Every CUBO fireplace includes a standard 10-year structural warranty.
CONSTRUCTION
The CUBO body is manufactured from 3 mm double-skinned fabricated steel. The steel door is fitted with clear ceramic heat-resistant glass.
The internal combustion chamber features removable stainless steel panels designed to withstand direct exposure to the fire. Compared to traditional insulation boards, these stainless steel panels offer improved heat output and greater efficiency.
The fireplace includes:
- A 10-year warranty on the fireplace body
- A 3-year warranty on internal moving parts subject to normal wear and tear
The CUBO 700 features a top-exit chimney outlet with a diameter of 150 mm.
The AIR models are equipped with a standard built-in fan operated by an on/off switch. This creates fan-assisted convection, improving heat circulation throughout the room.
In addition to the natural convection system, the fan draws cool air from beneath the fireplace and distributes heated air through the upper ventilation outlets.
A 220V power outlet should ideally be located near the fireplace for fan operation. However, the fireplace can still operate effectively without the fan. The fan simply allows the room to heat up more quickly and efficiently.
An integrated ash drawer is also included for easy ash removal and cleaning.
INSTALLATION
For optimal performance, the CUBO requires a ø150 mm stainless steel flue system. The specific flue components required will depend on your installation configuration.
For example:
- A single-storey installation with a vertical ceiling flue
- An external flue installation requiring additional bends and insulated piping
Your installer will be able to advise on the correct number and type of flue components required.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Your CUBO fireplace produces both convection and radiant heat.
When the fan is switched off, the AIR model operates using standard convection heating. Cool air enters through the lower front section of the fireplace, while heated air naturally exits through the upper ventilation slots above the glass door.
When the fan is activated, the fireplace operates using forced convection, increasing airflow and distributing warm air more rapidly throughout the room.
The CUBO also produces radiant heat, where warmth is transferred directly through the ceramic glass door into the living space.
Two air-control levers located at the lower front of the unit allow you to regulate airflow into the combustion chamber for optimal combustion performance.
