CUBO 700 AIR insert fireplace is suitable for medium-sized rooms – for both new and existing installations.
The CUBO range is our in-house brand of closed combustion fireplaces available in three basic sizes namely 700mm, 900mm, and 1200mm.
We manufacture this range in South Africa in-house using top-quality materials and components, on par with European imported fireplaces.
Your CUBO comes with a standard 8-year structural guarantee.
CONSTRUCTION
The CUBO body and door are steel fabricated and painted black while the fireplace door is cladded with a wide black-tinted panoramic glass.
The internal combustion chamber is made of high-quality insulation board and a Stainless Steel roof canopy. Your CUBO is fitted with a top exit chimney outlet.
The “AIR” models come with a standard built-in fan controlled by an on-off switch. This is commonly referred to as “forced ventilation”.
So in addition to a normal convection system, the fan draws cold air from the bottom of the fireplace and “forces” hot air from the top ventilation slots.
For the fan, you will need a 220V PowerPoint to be located near the fireplace. However, should this not be possible, you can still operate the fireplace without a fan.
In other words, the fan is a convenient extra so you could heat up your space more quickly.
We also include an ash draw for easy cleaning and removal of your leftover ash.
INSTALLATION
This CUBO requires ø150mm Stainless Steel flue for optimal performance. Your flue components will depend on your particular installation.
For example, a single-story dwelling with a chimney going through the ceiling as opposed to an external flue installation. The latter requires additional bends and insulated pipes.
Your installer should be able to advise the number and types of flue pipes needed for the installation.
Note: Price does not include chimney flue pipes and installation.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Your fireplace gives off CONVECTION and RADIATION heat. The “AIR” model uses STANDARD CONVECTION to heat up your room space while the fan is turned off, whereby cold air enters frontally at the bottom of the fireplace while the hot air flows out through the slots above the glass door. However, when you switch the fan on you create “FORCED VENTILATION”, hence you increase the flow of hot air into your room. In other words, you can heat up your room space more quickly. Your CUBO has two levers located at the front bottom of the unit, controlling the flow of air intake into the combustion chamber.
Your CUBO also gives off RADIATION heat where heat is transformed from inside the combustion chamber through the glass door into your room.
