800mm free-standing De Lux braai on a pedestal for indoor and under-cover outdoor use.
Enhance your entertainment and patio space with this elegant, double-skin braai.
The braai rests firmly on a stable heavy-weight square pedestal. The pedestal is a loose component.
Consider this free-standing braai which is easier and cheaper to install compared to the built-in version.
Avoid unnecessary brickwork, plastering, painting or tiling associated with built-in braais.
Keep in mind that you still need to install the braai and chimney which usually goes through the patio roof.
We recommend you use a qualified installer for proper, safe installation.
Construction
Made of double skin/ double wall 2.5mm mild steel (body and moving parts), 1.6mm for the doors.
The De Lux model is a double-door design. The bottom door drops down to form a strong workbench.
The top door folds up and rests against the wall.
Flue kit
Standard flue kit consists of 2 x round shape flue pipes, a fixed cyclone cowl, and a round ceiling plate. Total flue kit is 2.4m in length.
The exposed flue kit is sprayed in black finish to match the braai.
Consider purchasing additional flue pipes should 2.4m kit is not sufficient to clear the highest point on the roof.
Similarly, you may need wall support brackets to firmly secure the flue pipe against the wall.
Both additional flue pipes and wall support brackets are available as optional extras.
Maintenance
For normal cleaning avoid using any chemicals or detergents on the body of the braai.
Only use a damp cloth dipped in water to prevent rusting.
In addition to regularly cleaning your braai, you need to maintain the braai periodically.
Depending on the frequency of use, we recommend you give a touch-up paint at least annually.
Such paint is readily available at your nearest hardware shop.
WARNING!
Not suitable for outdoor use where it’s exposed to direct contact with moisture and water.
The body is made of mild steel and it will rust.
Only high-grade 304 stainless steel can be used for such applications.
