1200mm Built-in Combination Braai | Mild Steel
1200mm De Lux built-in Combination braai (mild steel) for indoor and outdoor (non-coastal) installations.
Enjoy the best of both worlds – A traditional wood-burning South African braai as well as a 2-burner gas griller.
High-grade stainless steel griller lies to the right of the ember maker – in other words,
the ember maker acts as a divider between the wood and gas braais.
The braai comes complete with 2.4m flue kit and a 2-burner gas griller.
Gas pipes are not included.
Gas connection
You will require a minimum 9kg bottle of LPG to operate the griller, although, we recommend a larger bottle.
Use 5/16th copper pipe to permanently connect the gas griller to the gas line.
We recommend you use a qualified gas installer for proper and safe installation.
Double door design
Double door design – top door tilts up, bottom door drops 90° to form a workbench.
Moreover, the bottom rests on specially designed strong L-brackets, doing away with the traditional double chain.
Construction
We use 2.5mm mild steel for the body and moving parts and 1.6mm for the braai doors.
The gas griller body is made of high-grade 304 stainless steel, while both braai grids are made of 430 stainless steel.
Another unique feature of Lava’s braais is a recessed 220V downlight/spotlight for bright illumination.
The Combination braai gets 1 x 220V spot light located on the left hand side of the braai.
The ember maker at the center of the braai shields the gas griller from the charcoal side.
Note: The 1500mm model has a separate permanent compartment for the gas griller as well as an additonal spot light.
Flue kit
A standard 2.4m flue kit made from a Chromadek roofing material is supplied with the braai.
A kit consists of 2 x flue pipes and a cyclone fixed cowl, together making up 2400mm.
Accessories available include – 45° & 90° offsets, extra flue pipes and wall support bracket.
Cowl
New Cyclone Cowl is now a standard feature in all Lava Fires braais & fireplaces.
The cyclone cowl replaces the traditional bird-looking rotating cowl.
Having a more efficient design, the new cyclone cowl does not rotate and is maintenance-free.
Maintenance
In addition to regularly cleaning your braai, you will also need to maintain it periodically.
Depending on the frequency of use, we recommend you apply a touch-up etch primer paint annually.
For the gas griller we recommend a stainless-steel spray. Both paint and spray are readily available at your local hardware
Guarantee
We offer a standard 5 Year guarantee against heat damage.
