1000 De Lux Braai | medium grade 430 Stainless Steel | Excluding Flue kit
1000mm built-in Stainless Steel De Lux braai is suitable for indoor and outdoor (undercover) applications.
Stainless steel braais offer style, durability and are easier to maintain compared with mild steel braais.
The De Lux is a classic double-door design: the top door tilts up and rests against the braai frame. The bottom door drops down to form a workbench.
Both doors can be removed by unscrewing the screws at the hinges.
Material
All braai parts are made of 430 stainless steel.
The braai’s body and moving parts are made of 2.0 mm while the doors are 1.6 mm.
A standard V-shape stainless steel grid is included.
Unique Features
Good lighting always comes in handy when braaing at night time or under low lighting conditions.
Your braai is fitted with a 220V downlight/spotlight to provide good lighting. We also include a halogen bulb made of glass that can withstand heat.
Another unique feature of Lava’s De Lux braais is the bottom door & serving tray.
We use specially designed L-shape clips to keep the bottom door in a horizontal position and
we canceled the double chain. This improves the overall look of the braai.
Cowl (optional extra)
New Cyclone Cowl is new feature in all Lava Fires braais & fireplaces.
The cyclone cowl replaces the traditional bird-looking rotating cowl.
The round cyclone cowl is a fixed cowl – it does not rotate! It is a more efficient design and maintenance-free.
Flue Kit (optional extra)
Unlike our mild steel and 304 high-grade stainless steel braais, the 430 stainless steel braais are supplied without a flue kit.
The flue kit is an optional extra.
Customers can choose between mild steel (Chromadek roofing material), 430 stainless steel, and 304 stainless steel flue kits.
See different pricing below.
Rust and Corrosion
The 430 medium-grade stainless steel braai is designed for indoor use.
It is also suitable for outdoor use provided it is undercover or does not come in direct contact with water.
Note – the 430 grade is not resilient to corrosion and is therefore not suitable for coastal areas.
Even if the braai is installed undercover unless the patio is completely enclosed.
It is advisable to regularly maintain the braai using a good stainless steel cleaner & scotch-brite.
For coastal installations please refer to our 304-grade stainless steel braais.
