Your Key Questions, Answered

  • Why Do I Need A Flu Kit?

A flue is another name for the fireplace chimney or venting system. We need it to remove all smoke from the fireplace safely.

  • Why Would I Need An Insulated Flu Kit?

We use fully insulated, stainless steel flu kits for our fireplaces.  Stainless steel will not rust and will last a great deal longer than mild steel and by insulating the flu we prevent fire hazards that could be caused by the extremely hot air being vented from your fireplace.

  • Why Should I Use Specialist Installer?

A specialist installer brings essential expertise in safely and efficiently installing fireplaces, ensuring compliance with building codes and safety standards. Their knowledge in managing ventilation, heat distribution, and structural concerns significantly reduces the risks of fire hazards and operational issues. Opting for a specialist means your fireplace installation will be done correctly, offering long-term reliability and peace of mind.

  • How Long Does Installation Typically Take?

The duration of the installation process can vary depending on the complexity of the project. Typically, a standard fireplace installation can be completed within a day. However, if there are specific challenges related to the structure of your home or the type of fireplace being installed, it might take longer. Our team will assess your specific situation and provide an estimated timeline beforehand, so you can plan accordingly. We prioritize efficiency and minimal disruption to your routine while ensuring the installation is conducted with the utmost precision and care.

  • What Is Core Drilling?

Core drilling is a precise process used to create circular holes in concrete slabs, walls, and other hard materials. It’s commonly employed by fireplace installers to make openings for flues or ventilation systems. This technique uses a diamond-tipped drill bit to cut through the material, ensuring a clean, precise hole of varying diameters and depths. Core drilling is essential for its ability to drill without causing structural damage, making it ideal for installing fireplace components in residential or commercial properties.
